Ikea Life at Home Report

 

The 2018 Ikea Life at Home Report has established 5 emotional needs associated with home: privacy, security, comfort, ownership and belonging.

 

Through our research, we have identified five core emotional needs connected to the home. This is what people mean when they talk about the feeling of home. These needs are universal but they play different roles at different stages of our lives, depending on how old we are, who we live with, and where we are in the world.

So far in our research, we too have discovered how cultural trends may impact features associated with the urban home, but there is still consistency among key attributes. To read more about the report click here.
