What is urban? Data collected by a census bureau shouldn’t be the only metric for defining urban, and certainly shouldn’t be used as the most accurate source for determining how many people live in the type of urban environment that most people think of. The character of the built environment, geography, and societal/economical aspects all play a role in how urban a place is.
