Leadership Promotions
Valerio Dewalt Train has promoted Sheri Andrews to Principal and Peter Wojtowicz to Senior Associate.
Sheri Andrews, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, joined VDT in 2006. Her project experience includes recent expansion and renovation of the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, including Earl Shapiro Hall and Gordon Parks Arts Hall in Chicago, Illinois; Vue53 Graduate Student Residences in Chicago; the Canopy Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Tech Corners Campus in Sunnyvale, California. She is currently leading the renovation of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois, after completing their master plan in 2019 and the Oceanarium renovation and office expansion in 2009.
Sheri is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Chicago Women in Architecture, Professional Women in Construction, and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. She is also the head of VDT’s Culture Committee and a recent winner of the AIA Illinois Buckminster Fuller Award for Social Good. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Ohio State University and Master of Architecture from the University of Washington, St. Louis.
Peter Wojtowicz, AIA, joined VDT in 2015. His project experience includes the 8 East Huron apartments in Chicago, Illinois; the Canopy Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Omega Yeast Labs in Chicago, Illinois; and the URP Innovation One office building in Madison, Wisconsin. He is currently working on a mixed-use, multi-family high rise in Raleigh, North Carolina, and multiple warehouse distribution centers in Aurora, Ohio; Elmhurst, Illinois; and Santa Fe Springs, California.
Peter is a member of the American Institute of Architects and sits on the AIA Chicago Board of Directors as the Vice President of Honors and Awards. Peter is also a volunteer mentor for ACE Mentor Chicago and a bass player for multiple jazz, rock, and bluegrass bands in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.
