Heather Salisbury named Director of Operations
Valerio Dewalt Train (VDT) has named Heather Salisbury Director of Operations, announced the firm’s Principals. As Director of Operations, Salisbury will improve and monitor quality and production standards for the firm’s projects.
Heather Salisbury, AIA, CSI, LEED AP BD+C, joined VDT in 1997. Her projects include Art on THE MART in Chicago, IL; Northwestern Mutual Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI; the Kresge Foundation Headquarters office in Troy, MI; the Block 89 mixed-use development in Madison, WI; and multiple eBay offices around the country. She is currently overseeing the 696-unit Graduate Student Housing Village for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Salisbury is a member of the American Institute of Architects as well as the Chicago chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, for which she served on the board for two years and had been a member of their Rebuilding Chicago committee. She has also served on the junior board of local non-profit, Architreasures. Salisbury is the technology and standards team leader for VDT and was on the committee that developed the firm’s standards in 1998. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas.
Salisbury has been an integral member of VDT for over two decades. Her keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills have been proven invaluable to the firm's office standards, technology management, and operations.
