The building site called for a different architectural response than another dose of the familiar Gothic Revival.

The 120,000 SF building, part of a three phase project for the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, recently opened it’s doors this fall for nursery to second grade classes. The later two phases, a new 80,000 SFArt Wing addition and renovations of the existing five buildings are scheduled for completion in 2016. VDTA is the Design Architect and FGM is the Architect-of-Record for the project.
