Joe Valerio was invited, by Habitat Futura, as a panelist discussing the complexities of sustainable design in architecture at the Fourth International Bienal on Sustainable Architecture in Barcelona, Spain. 

Valerio provided insight into the design process for the firm’s Kresge Foundation, one of the first projects certified LEED Platinum. The panel lecture feature several architects and organization leaders including Fabian Listerri, President of the International Union of Architects; Hugo Berenguer of Rafael de La Hoz Arquitectos; and Thomas Jarman of FCBStudio.
