Maria Carrizo

Having experienced life in cities so contrasting such as Caracas, Miami, and Chicago, Maria developed a profound interest in the built environment, its effect on human livelihood, and the role of architects as creators of space at any scale. She is an architectural designer with experience in graphic and interior design, and has worked in projects ranging from office buildouts, to adaptive re-use and master planning. Prior to her professional career, Maria attended the Illinois Institute of Technology where she discovered a passion for conceptual, narrative-led design that prioritizes communities' contemporary and future needs, while seeking out creative solutions to address them.
