The desire to be safe at home is nothing new nor will this likely change. Although security is an important feature, is it a valued or expected amenity in an urban home? During our site visit to various buildings, security was always a prominent feature but never really talked about.

Technology is adding another layer to what security means in an urban home. Shifting away from physical keys to app-based entry, companies such as Lockitron or August are introducing new ways to implement at-home security that are convenient and easy to use.
