The Wave Organ is an art installation created by Peter Richards and George Gonzalez during an artist residency in 1986 with the Exploratorium. It is a wave activated acoustic sculpture that responds to the changing tides in the San Francisco Bay. This was a reflective space that touched on multiple senses; the sounds of the waves and the changing tides, the rough sculptural appearance, and the smell of the ocean.
